History

Shroob invaders force the adult brothers to team with their baby selves in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. AlphaDream and Nintendo's 2005 DS follow-up to Superstar Saga splits the pairs across two screens.

Babies ride on the adults or explore a lower screen path, and timed hits still trigger Bros. moves against the mushroom aliens. Time holes open the past Princess Peach's castle to the invasion.

Superstar Saga is the previous game, and this is the DS follow-up. The babies and the Shroobs are the new cast on top of the brotherly timing.
