History

Charge shots sit under familiar faces in Mario Tennis. Hold the swing, release a powered ball, and the point becomes a different argument from a flat rally.

Camelot and Nintendo opened a sports line with the Nintendo 64 game in 2000. Waluigi's twisted stance was new on that roster. Waluigi debuted on this roster beside Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser, and later Camelot tennis games on newer Nintendo systems continued the idea.

Tournaments are short and readable. The charge is the mechanic a new player can see, while the character's court coverage still decides a long point.
