Mario reclaims his castle from Wario in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, hunting six coins hidden in themed zones. Nintendo's second Game Boy Mario Land, from 1992, introduces Wario on a larger map than the first.
A space zone, a giant pumpkin, and a Mario-shaped island each hide a coin that opens the gate. Bunny ears let him glide, a move this cartridge adds on top of the usual jump.
Wario's debut is the plot, with the stolen castle as his prize. Sarasaland, from the first Land game, is a different and smaller journey.
