History

Four players, one television, and a dice roll open Mario Party, the Hudson Soft and Nintendo board from 1998 that starts the series. Stars and coins decide the winner after a string of minigame interruptions.

Stars and coins decide the winner after a set run of turns. The living-room television is part of the design, not an optional extra.

A Game Boy Advance listing came later, but this shared board is the original. Later handheld parties are follow-ups, not this four-player table.
