History

Soma Cruz draws magic seals on the touch screen to finish a boss in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Konami's 2005 DS game is the sequel to Aria of Sorrow.

Souls taken from enemies change the skill set, and a seal traced badly lets the boss survive the last hit. The castle, the dark chapel, and the cult around Soma continue the Aria story rather than resetting to Simon Belmont.

Touch-screen seals are the DS addition on top of the soul system. It is the sequel to Aria of Sorrow, with Soma returning.
