History

Super Mario Land gives Mario a pocket journey with its own enemies, vehicles, and ending. Nintendo's first Game Boy outing for him, from 1989, starts the Land line and plays differently from a shrunken Super Mario Bros.

Sarasaland holds Princess Daisy, a submarine, and a plane that shoots balls, with Tatanga the alien as the kidnapper. The usual flagpoles and Bowser's castle do not run this kingdom.

The ending and the enemy list belong to this cartridge. Later Land sequels grow from the first handheld trip through Sarasaland.
