Tom Nook's shop serves a pocket town you can visit online in Animal Crossing: Wild World. Nintendo's 2005 DS game is smaller than the GameCube village and sits between that original and City Folk.
Weeds, fossils, and a late-night visit from K.K. Slider still fill the days, while Wi-Fi lets another player's train stop in your acre. The town fits a handheld, with fewer acres than the GameCube map and no city plaza yet.
City Folk on Wii comes after this pocket town, and the GameCube original comes before it. Wild World is the DS Animal Crossing in that line.
