Activision sent zoo animals through New York in Madagascar, the 2005 tie-in to the DreamWorks film. GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS each shipped their own version of that escape.
Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman, and Gloria are the four leads, from the Central Park opening toward a later shipwreck. A minigame on one format is not guaranteed on the next.
What the three boxes share is the zoo quartet, not a single set of levels. Each machine rebuilds the film's beats with its own stages.
