History

Lugia waits at the version's edge in Pokemon Silver. Legendary and wild-encounter differences set it apart from Pokemon Gold, while Johto's gyms and the day-night clock stay the shared journey.

Game Freak and Nintendo released this other 1999 Game Boy Color edition as a pair, not as a sequel and not as the later DS remake. HeartGold and SoulSilver rebuilt the trip years afterward and belong on their own pages.

Kanto still opens after the league. Silver's exclusive creatures are the reason a Gold cartridge stayed in a friend's Game Boy Color.
