History

A gentle squirrel, not a foul-mouthed one, stars in Conker's Pocket Tales. Rare's 1999 adventure sends Conker after stolen presents and a kidnapped Berri, years before the adult humor of Bad Fur Day.

Overworld paths, small foes, and a tone aimed at a younger player define the cart. The Evil Acorn's mischief is a fairy-tale problem, and Conker solves it without the later game's jokes.

Rare already had the squirrel in a racing cameo and a platform project that changed direction. This pocket tale is the sweet version, the one Bad Fur Day deliberately left behind.
