History

Baron Dante's crocodile returns in Croc 2 still looking for the Gobbos and, this time, for the parents he never met. Fox Interactive's 1999 sequel leaves the first island's simple rescue-and-exit rhythm for villages that hand out errands.

The little crocodile still beats enemies with a tail swipe and rides geysers between ledges. Swap-in helpers and a wider map distinguish the follow-up from Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, where the job was mostly freeing the small furry captives.

A color handheld edition shrinks that village-and-quest structure into a flatter run without abandoning the search. The Gobbos remain the neighbors worth saving, and the missing family is the reason the journey continues past the first adventure.
