History

Gold and Silver teams step into 3D rings in Pokémon Stadium 2. A Transfer Pak cup is not a wild-grass route. A Transfer Pak moves the handheld party onto the Nintendo 64, where gym leaders and rented teams fight under a cup bracket.

Japan received the battle game in 2000. Johto levels get a polygon body in that castle. Minigames and the Gym Leader Castle sit beside the imported Johto roster, which the earlier stadium game could not read from those color cartridges.

It is a fight venue, not a wild-grass journey. The creatures still gain their levels on the Game Boy Color; this cartridge is where those levels get a polygon body.
