History

Catching happens on the playfield in Pokémon Pinball. Jupiter and HAL Laboratory's 1999 Game Boy Color game puts Pokemon on pinball tables, and a well-aimed hit sends one into the ball for a capture.

The red and blue tables echo the paired versions' mascots. Evolution and a Pokedex fill up from successful catches between the bumpers, which a plain high-score table never tracked.

Nintendo published the cartridge. It is a pinball table with a Pokedex, not a gym challenge that happens to use a flipper.
