History

Fawful shrinks the brothers so they can travel inside a giant Bowser in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. AlphaDream's 2009 DS role-playing game splits play between those brothers and Bowser's own giant battles.

Inside the body, Mario and Luigi jump organs and nerve paths as timed Bros. attacks, while the overworld Bowser breathes fire at enemies too big for the brothers. The top screen and the touch screen divide those two scales.

Fawful and the Blorb epidemic are the crisis, not a simple castle rescue. The inside-Bowser map is the DS game's signature split.
