History

Werehog nights interrupt the boost in Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Team's 2008 switch between daytime speed stages and a nighttime beast. Chip travels with Sonic, the planet is in pieces, and the Wii version was built separately from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game.

Day stages are the sprint. Night stages are slower brawls as the werehog, and the Wii build does not share its level geometry with the high-definition version.

Sonic Team's split personality is the design. The Wii release is its own construction of that split, not a shaved copy of the other consoles' continents.
