History

Drums and vocals joined the guitar, and Guitar Hero World Tour turns the series into a full band on the motion console. The drum chart and the vocal line can fail separately while the guitarist is still in the song.

Four instruments can fill a song: lead, bass, kit, and a microphone. The note highway splits by part, and a living room can assign each one to a different person.

The 2008 set supports that same four-piece idea as the other home versions. A solo career still exists, but the new fantasy is the whole group clearing one chart together.
