History

Sonic and Blaze share a ship off Southern Island in Sonic Rush Adventure. Dimps and Sonic Team developed the voyage, and Sega published it in 2007. Marine, a raccoon who wants a captain's chair, pulls them into the local trouble.

Sea charts link the islands, and the boost carries the craft across open water. You plot a route, then spend that meter to cover the distance. Once you make landfall, stages still run as fast side-view sprints.

Blaze travels as Sonic's equal, not as a guest for a single zone. The ship is the hub between landfalls. Southern Island is home base rather than one beach course.

The voyage is the sequel to Sonic Rush, not a chapter of Sonic Colors. Sega's credits put Dimps and Sonic Team on the same game. The charts and the water boost are the features that separate it from a plain remix of the first Rush stages.
