Peleliu's ridges and Stalingrad's streets share Call of Duty: World at War, Treyarch's 2008 World War II shooter covering the Pacific and the Eastern Front. Sergeant Reznov narrates the Soviet half, while the Pacific half follows a marine campaign through caves and airfields.
A motion-console build exists, and the dual-screen edition is its own portable game rather than the same two fronts squeezed onto a small map. Grenades, banzai charges, and the Red Army's push are the texture of the big-screen campaign.
This is the World War II game that sat beside the modern reboot, not a return to the medal-of-honor beaches of the early 2000s. The portable edition tells its war separately.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
