Drawn gusts carry Toku in LostWinds, the 2008 game with which Frontier launched WiiWare. You sketch the wind on the screen so it can lift the hero across floating islands, and a wind spirit is the power doing the lifting.
A spiral drawn in a corner becomes a lift, and a horizontal stroke becomes a glide. The islands are the level, and the ink is the controller, which is why the remote's pointer is the design and not a menu cursor.
Frontier's launch WiiWare game is this sketchbook of wind. Toku does not jump the gap alone; the stroke you drew is the jump.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
