History

A bus leaves the village for a city in Animal Crossing: City Folk. The Wii town keeps the daily clock, and the city shops, including Gracie's, sit at the other end of that ride.

Nintendo released it in 2008, between the GameCube original and New Leaf on 3DS. Voice chat, tied to the era's microphone accessory, is a feature the series later dropped.

The bus pass is the new geography. Turnip prices and birthday parties still run on the village clock, while the city is a destination rather than a second saved town.
