History

Capcom's Mega Man X3 (1995) continues the X series under Dr. Doppler, and some versions let you deploy as Zero. It is the third X adventure, still a 16-bit run before later disc ports.

X borrows a weapon after a Maverick falls, and Doppler's laboratory waits at the end of that hunt. Zero's saber, on versions that include him, cuts with a different rhythm from the buster.

The first two X cartridges set the Maverick stages and the armor upgrades. Doppler's plot is the layer this third Super Nintendo cart adds.
