History

Craft's defiance, Weil's weapon Ragnarok, and a Z-Knuckle that steals parts set the terms of Mega Man Zero 4. Inti Creates made this last Zero game, and Capcom published it for the Game Boy Advance in 2005. Weather moves over areas you choose, rewriting hazards before the stage even starts. Zero still answers that threat with the stolen parts.

The knuckle punches a component off a foe and equips it, so an enemy's element becomes Zero's for a while. Craft serves close to Weil and does not remain a plain lieutenant, while Ragnarok is the orbital threat aimed at whatever is left of the world. Entering a region under another sky can mean ice, wind, or a clearer field, and that choice is part of preparing.

Ciel and Zero are near the end of the road under Neo Arcadia's rule. Elpizo's split and Omega's Dark Elf sit in the past of this final hunt. Inti Creates uses the knuckle, the weather, and the area select so the closing cartridge does not play like its predecessors.

Capcom's ending of the Zero line puts Weil's plan and Craft's break in one story. No later game in the line arrives to finish the plot. Stolen parts and the skies you travel under are how those last fights are actually fought.
