History

Bass debuts as a rival in Mega Man 7 (1995), where Capcom moves the classic blue hero onto the Super Nintendo. The plot continues the NES story, on a separate timeline from Mega Man X.

Wily's new robot masters come in batches, and Bass arrives with Treble, a wolf-like partner, between stages. The slide and the charged shot carry over from the later NES games into taller sprites.

Rush still brings adapters for flight and a drill. Bass is the new grudge, and he belongs to this classic line rather than to X's Maverick wars.
