History

Capcom's first Game Boy Mega Man, Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, remixes robot masters from the first two NES games. The cartridge from 1991 is its own adventure, ending in a fortress built for this handheld.

Cut Man's scissors and Elec Man's beam return on a small screen, and a new boss waits after the familiar ones. This remix still leans on the earliest NES tools.

Mega Man 2's robot masters supply the other half of the borrowed roster. Wily's handheld fortress, with new encounters inside, keeps the cart from being a straight port of either NES number.
