History

Dixie's ponytail spins like a helicopter in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and she and Diddy are the ones doing the rescuing. Donkey Kong himself is the prisoner, so the lighter pair has to cross tighter stages than the first jungle asked for.

Animal buddies return with new jobs, and the bramble and the beehives punish a sloppy jump. Kaptain K. Rool holds the ape, and the map is a pirate's route rather than a straight replay of the first island.

Rare and Nintendo released this second Country game in 1995, and players who want harder levels often name it. Dixie's hover and Diddy's speed are the tools those tighter stages expect.
