Judge Dredd licenses the 2000 AD comic judge for action games timed with the Stallone film. Super Nintendo and Game Boy carts share the name as movie-era tie-ins from 1995.
Mega-City One, the Lawgiver pistol, and a helmet that stays on are the pieces the license brings from the strip. Each cartridge builds its own rooms around that judge, so the handheld screens are a separate adaptation.
The film's year and the comic's lawman are what the two carts share. The Super Nintendo streets and the Game Boy stages keep different level lists.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
