Hugo (1991) stars the troll from ITE's interactive television quizzes, a character Scandinavian kids steered with their TV remotes. Later cartridges, including a Game Boy one, turned those show tasks into a handheld product.
A mine cart, a rope swing, and a falling bridge were the kinds of tasks the television host called. The troll's capture by a witch recurs in the sketches those remote-control games used.
