Stanley the exterminator replaces Jumpman in Donkey Kong 3, spraying bugs at Donkey Kong inside a greenhouse. The ape hangs from vines, and the spray can pushes both insects and the ape upward.
The arcade original is from 1983 and is the odd third coin-op, not another climbing rescue. There is no barrel run and no captive to reach; a round ends when the ape is driven to the top.
Nintendo's home cartridge follows that greenhouse fight. A later Game Boy Advance release repeats the sprayer and the bees rather than restoring Mario's ladders.
