Left Field Productions built a dirt-bike follow-up, published by Nintendo, in Excitebike 64 (2000) already. A track editor and stunt racing keep it from being a simple remake of the NES Excitebike's side-view heats.
Riders crash in 3D ruts, and a saved custom track can be the whole evening. The spirit of the NES game is the dirt and the jumps, not the flat sprite of a bike on a single plane.
Temperature and a crash that costs time return as ideas, rebuilt for a 3D hillside. The editor is the feature the original heats never offered.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
The series list above is the whole family set in this catalog.
