Microphone parties join eight players in Mario Party 7, the 2005 board game Hudson and Nintendo shipped as the last Mario Party on the GameCube. Bowser still owns a hostile board, and the microphone accessory is required for some of the minigames.
Eight controllers around one television was the sell, a count earlier cube parties did not ask for. The boards are cruises and castles, and the mic turns a shout into an input.
Hudson's last cube party is this eight-player set. Later parties moved to other machines; the microphone and the eighth pad belong to this one.
