A world map links the stages of Super Bomberman 5, Hudson Soft's Japan-only Super Famicom release from 1997. It is the last main Super Bomberman on that console. Official publication stayed in Japan.
You move on the map and enter stages in an order the battle-only boxes did not emphasize. Bombs, blasts, and brick still decide each room. The map gives the single-player route a shape.
This is not Super Bomberman 2, an earlier and separate entry. Hudson Soft kept the fifth game on the Super Famicom. Western shops did not get an official box for it.
Multiplayer battles remain available beside the mapped route. New tiles show up as the map progresses. Hudson Soft closed the main line on that console with this release.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
The series list above is the whole family set in this catalog.
First developer on the RAWG card: Hudson Soft.
