History

Interplay aimed burps and nose flicks at the enemies of Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure. The hero's health and ammunition are bodily, and a gross-out gag is the actual attack rather than a skin on a normal punch.

The Super Nintendo and Genesis cartridges shipped in the mid-1990s, and the gross-out fuss belongs to 1996 rather than to a later sequel. Mud pits, toilet tunnels, and a cape made of something unmentionable fill the stages.

Jumping still matters, but the flick and the burp are why the cart has its reputation. Both home versions share that joke, and neither pretends to be a polite mascot trek.
