Tibby, fallen out of Heaven World, gives the remixes a reason to exist in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, Nintendo's 2016 tower of rhythm games old and new. Floors hold stages from across the series, plus new ones built for this collection. You answer with buttons or with the stylus, according to the cue and the control setting.
A perfect hit occupies a narrow window, and a slightly late tap is still a miss you can hear. Some games are one repeated flick, while others change tempo halfway down the track. The tower map shows which floor is open and which remix is still shut.
Helping Tibby climb toward home unlocks the next bundle of stages, and that story is what ties the remixes together. A remix stitches several games into one longer piece, the point where the earlier floors are tested. One stage can be tried again for a higher rating without climbing the entire tower.
Nintendo assembled the anthology on the handheld. Harder versions of the games remain after the story, aimed at players who want a less forgiving beat.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
