Yew Geneolgia faces a moon that has become the threat in Bravely Second: End Layer, Square Enix's sequel to the prior job-and-turn adventure. Magnolia comes down from that moon carrying warnings the surface does not have. Outside Japan, Nintendo published the sequel that arrived in 2016.
Saving a turn still braces a fighter and banks the action, while spending the stock unleashes a chain. New jobs change which abilities can ride that gamble. Asterisk holders interrupt the road, each with a doctrine and a combat kit of their own.
Army ties make the lunar approach personal for Yew. His losses, paired with Magnolia's knowledge of the moon, push the plot past a simple villain chase. Leadership sits with those two, rather than with the heroes who closed the previous story.
Bravely Default remains the earlier calamity, with its own protagonists. Brave and Default stay at the center of combat here, both aimed at the moon. Square Enix made the sequel, and Nintendo handled publication beyond Japan.
