A flick of the stylus is the joke in Nintendo's Rhythm Heaven. Short rhythm scenes from 2008 use a tap, and that flick is the hardware gag.
A chorus line, a golf swing, or a robot assembly asks for the flick at the right beat, and a miss gets a comic groan. The DS game sits between the Game Boy Advance entry that stayed in Japan and the later Wii and 3DS entries.
Those bookends matter: the Advance game did not leave Japan, and the Wii and 3DS games came after this flick-based set. The DS edition is the one where the stylus flick is the recurring punchline.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
