A treasure chest stolen by the Squeaks opens Kirby: Squeak Squad, and Kirby is sure it held his strawberry shortcake. HAL Laboratory and Flagship developed the chase, which Nintendo published in 2006. Europe calls the same cartridge Kirby: Mouse Attack.
Copy abilities can sit in a stomach inventory instead of vanishing at the next hit. On the touch screen, two stored abilities mix into a new one. The bag, not the last enemy inhaled, decides what he is carrying.
Daroach leads the thieves who ran off with the chest. The mouse-like crew keeps snatching it back. The shortcake misunderstanding is what sends Kirby after them.
Because several abilities can be stored, he can swap without hunting a fresh donor. Flagship shared the development with HAL Laboratory. Mouse Attack is a regional name, not a second quest.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
First developer on the RAWG card: HAL Laboratory, Flagship.
