History

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (1992) is Square's simplified role-playing quest aimed at North American players. Japan received the same journey as Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest, and it sits outside the numbered main line.

Benjamin's path runs through short dungeons where a weapon doubles as a field tool, and encounters arrive more gently than in a typical numbered Final Fantasy. Allies rotate in as the walk moves from the Focus Tower toward Doom Castle.

The Western box used the Final Fantasy name to welcome newcomers to menus and towns. Collectors keep Benjamin's quest beside the numbered games, as its own cartridge.
