Overhead jeep sections alternate with side-view runs in Super Contra (1988), Konami's arcade sequel. The vehicle stretches of the coin-op and the on-foot alien bases are both part of the cabinet, not a single camera.
Bill and Lance return to a larger invasion than the first run. Turrets, overhead roadways, and vertical bases change the shape of the shooting from stage to stage.
The NES game Super C is a later, rearranged home edition, not this cabinet. Konami's arcade Super Contra is the one with the original overhead-and-side split, and Super C rebuilds that idea rather than copying every yard.
