Codemasters rebuilt its circuit line as GRID (2008), and the handheld release is a separate pocket racer rather than that console simulation. Sponsor goals and a wreck rewind belong to the big-circuit simulation, not to the pocket cart.
The big-machine version is remembered for professional teams, sponsor goals, and a flashback that rewinds a wreck. None of that cabinet-scale presentation is what the small dual-screen cart promises.
Damage, reputation, and a season of closed courses define the main line. Treating the handheld cartridge as the same garage would flatten a different product into the name.
