Aurora, a living remnant of the Azran civilization, sends Hershel Layton's last prequel around the globe in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, from Level-5 and Nintendo in 2013. The case closes that trilogy of prequels. Curious Village is a different, earlier introduction, and this one does not present him as a stranger to riddles.
Ice fields, jungle ruins, and buried sites each stop the party at a gate made of a riddle. Luke and Emmy travel with Aurora while rival searchers try to seize what the Azran left behind. The stylus writes answers, rotates devices, and marks the single spot a diagram demands.
The script keeps treating the journey as a farewell. Careful reading does more work than reflex. A bad assumption about a picture can spend hint coins even when the counting itself looks easy.
Level-5 constructed the Azran plot as the capstone, and Nintendo published that handheld edition. Every ruin chosen on the world map adds a piece of what the civilization built, and the finish has to settle Aurora's purpose together with the chase.
