Mark Evans, Endou in the Japanese script, captains Inazuma Eleven, Level-5's soccer story in which special shots exist only after the plot teaches them. Western players on the Nintendo 3DS met his team in 2014, after the series had already started on the DS in Japan, so both handhelds belong in the telling.
Conversation is what unlocks a kick, a block, or a goalkeeper feat before the whistle blows. Friendship and training numbers sit underneath the footwork. Two halves turn the match into a long encounter, and a gauge is spent on those story-taught shots.
Raimon is the school side under Mark's captaincy, and the same boy is Endou when the names stay Japanese. Japan met the tale on the DS before anyone abroad did. Abroad, the adventure arrived on the 3DS, so the two machines can be named together.
Level-5 treats the spectacular kick as something the narrative has to unlock. Until that scene happens, the shot is not yours to call. Binding a story technique to a live match is the identity of this soccer tale.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
