Shulk carries the Monado through a war between titans in Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, the port Monolith Soft and Nintendo released for the New Nintendo 3DS in 2015. The Bionis and the Mechonis are the colossal bodies the regions rest on. Some features are scaled back beside the Wii original, the colony story is the same one, and Xenoblade 2 is a later saga.
Arts cool on a bar during fights that run in real time, standing in the right place grants a bonus, and three characters form the active party. Visions warn Shulk that a lethal blow is coming while there is still time to answer it. Chain attacks and the Monado's arts break a Mechon's guard or topple something larger.
Only the newer model of that handheld runs the port. The fields stay enormous, and reaching a landmark opens a fast route back to it. Requests from people in the colonies sit beside the march toward the other titan.
Monolith Soft developed the campaign and Nintendo published the port. The plot still follows Shulk from the attack on Colony 9 into the question of what the sword is actually for.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
The series list above is the whole family set in this catalog.
