Dick Dastardly's Mean Machine belongs to the cartoon, but Wacky Races (1991) is a computer platformer from Hi-Tec Software, not a lap around those deserts. Hanna-Barbera's racers are the cast, and the Amiga and the Commodore 64 are among the machines where that version lived.
Penelope Pitstop, Muttley, and the other drivers arrive as cameos from the Saturday cartoon, while the play is jumping and dodging rather than steering the Compact Pussycat through a finish banner. Dastardly's sabotage survives as hazards instead of as race position.
A later racing game reused the same cartoon. Hi-Tec's older release is the side-view one, the odd case of a famous motor derby turned into ledges and enemies.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
None in this catalog yet.
No wider family is grouped for this title beyond the series list.
