History

A sleeping Bart tumbles through sketch-like dreams in The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare. Acclaim's Super Nintendo game from 1992 stands apart from the NES plot of Bart vs. the Space Mutants.

Homework pages blow along a Springfield sidewalk, and catching one drops Bart into a dream with its own rules, including a giant Bartzilla stomping buildings. Each dream ends by dumping him back on that windy street.

Space Mutants on the NES is a separate Springfield episode about costumes and collectibles. This nightmare is its own night, built from disconnected dreams rather than that earlier mission.
