History

Billy and Jimmy Lee bring a move set unlike their NES outings to Super Double Dragon, including a charge attack. Technos released the Super Nintendo revision in 1992. It is not Double Dragon II.

The brothers still fight side by side through street gangs. The charge winds up a heavier blow than the quick punches. Throws and kicks join that charge in a list the NES pads did not share.

Double Dragon II has its own stages and its own identity. Technos rebuilt the moves for the 16-bit machine rather than tracing the older patterns. Players who only know the NES buttons will miss the charge unless they practice it.

Both brothers can use the expanded list. The charge has to come out under pressure, not only in an empty alley. Technos kept their names and changed the fighting underneath.
