History

Underwater fights set Monster Hunter Tri apart from the earlier hunts. Lagiacrus patrols a flooded zone, Moga Village is the hub, and Capcom used the Wii entry to bring the series to a wide Nintendo audience.

The village and Loc Lac city frame gathering, cooking, and the Cha-Cha mask in a loop released in 2009. Lagiacrus under Moga's waves is the hunt the camera was rebuilt for. Great Jaggi on the beach is the teaching hunt; the leviathan below the waves is the one the controls were rebuilt to allow.

Later portable Monster Hunter games are separate. The underwater camera and Moga's dock belong to this Wii chapter.
