CommanderVideo's body is the paddle in BIT.TRIP BEAT. Gaijin Games opened the BIT.TRIP series on WiiWare in 2009 with this rhythm game, bouncing a dot back to the beat until the pattern becomes a wall of notes.
Miss the beat and the mode drops toward a flatter, harsher soundtrack. The dot, the bat, and the music are the entire screen, which makes the later games in the series look busy by comparison.
Gaijin's CommanderVideo went on to other rhythm challenges. Beat is the first, the one that is honestly a paddle and a pulse.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
None in this catalog yet.
No wider family is grouped for this title beyond the series list.
