History

Proton streams and a film-style script define Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis helped write the 2009 game, often treated as a third film, while the Wii version is a separate on-rails take.

The bigger edition puts the proton pack, the trap, and the original firehouse crew into a third-person job alongside Stay Puft-scale set pieces. On Wii the same license becomes an on-rails shooter, a different camera and a different way through the ghosts.

A DS release sat in that same season and is not the third-person story the two writers shaped. The Wii on-rails take is the split the license is known for on Nintendo hardware.
