History

Saxon lords joust, raid, and take territory in Defender of the Crown, Cinemaware's Robin Hood-era strategy game. A tournament can win land and gold, and a night raid can steal what the joust did not.

The Amiga original of 1986 is famous for those painted scenes between the strategic choices. Castles, garrisons, and the map of England give the raids a place to happen.

The NES port is a reduced take on that computer original. The joust, the raid, and the territory struggle remain, with less of the Amiga presentation around them.
