Mighty Morphin Power Rangers licenses Saban's television series, and the Super Nintendo edition from 1994 is a one-on-one fighter. The Game Boy release is another, smaller tie-in with its own screen layout.
Rangers morph and trade special moves in a versus match, closer to a duel than to a belt-scrolling episode of the show. A monster can close a round, but the television call to morph is what the license is selling.
The handheld cart retells the same colored suits on a much smaller set of screens. Both editions borrow the Saban costumes, and each one plays by a different set of rules.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.

No wider family is grouped for this title beyond the series list.
